Better accuracy drives successful campaigns.
Genalytics' approach to building compelling data
elements like those available in the Genalytics
Affluence Indicators is to focus as narrowly as
possible on the factors that drive success in
campaigns. OurAffluence Indicators provide a 360
degree perspective of the household affluence
across the U.S. When selecting prospects for particular
products or services, accurate affluence data
is imperative to creating predictive models for
effective direct marketing campaigns. The cornerstones
of the Affluence Indicators, our Premium
Income Estimate and Discretionary
Income Index, enable marketers to better
target the audience that has the available resources
to afford the products or services they are offering.
The
Genalytics Affluence Indicators include:
- Premium Estimated Income
- Discretionary Income Index
- Home Value Estimate
- Business Owners @Home
- Charitable Giving Index
- Invested Assets
- Wealth ID
|
- Home Equity LOC
- Life Insurance Targeting Index
- Net Worth
- Vehicle Value Index
- Vehicle Consideration Sets
- Vacation Property Ownership

Use Discretion. One of the Genalytics
Affluence Indicators, this index measures Discretionary
Income, the amount of money a household has left
for spending after the basic needs of housing,
food, and clothing are met. For our index, the
amount of money a household expends on education,
healthcare and transportation is also considered.
The
major challenges with estimating discretionary
income are:
- Establishing a holistic view of all the household
assets
- Correctly estimating household income
- Assessing life stage and major purchase factors
such as college tuition, home mortgages, and
automated savings plans that tend to depress
spending capacity yet do not materially affect
net worth
We
pick up where others leave off. Virtually
all of the available Discretionary Income estimates
are based on summarized banking information or
aggregated credit usage. Most national discretionary
income estimates are built as a single, nationally
based predictive model, which can be misleading
because account balances and credit are actually
a more strict measure of cash availability than
discretionary income. A national model built on
credit typically overlooks or generalizes local
cost of living issues, and also ignores life stage
information at the household level. The combination
of all these factors reduces accuracy. The ability
to build hundreds of models at the local level
allows Genalytics to leverage nuances such as
cost of living, effective tax rates, and local
home values. With the inclusion of life stage
data and the more accurate Genalytics’ Household
Income Estimate, marketers now have a far better
capacity to target the audience that has the available
resources to afford the products or services being
offered.
